Check out this link for results for the 2014 Time To Ride Challenge http://www.horsecouncil.org/press-release/time-ride-challenge-returns-2015-100000-cash-and-prizes%20 In 2014 a whopping more than 25000 people were introduced to horses for the first time through Time To Ride.
The Time To Ride 100 Day Challenge is an interesting marketing tool for horse businesses. It’s the brain child of The American Horse Council, designed to reach new people and have them experience and learn about horses. Personally I love the idea by itself but Time To Ride makes it even more exciting by creating a competition.
1000 horse related businesses will compete for prizes in three size categories. The winners will be the groups that introduce the most newcomers to horses over a predetermined 100 day period. Hopefully each of the 1000 business will introduce 100 people resulting in 100,000 newbies to our passion.Hence the name 100 Day Challenge. The time period is from the end of May to the beginning of September. Registration opens in March.
This is a great way to reach the public. The website is full of information and is fairly simple to get started. Be sure to check out the map which lists horse venues. And take a look at the rewards section where anyone can win points towards neat merchandise. So you don’t have to be in the horse business to benefit from Time To Ride.
The American Horse Council always brings the best information on what is is going on statistic wise in our industry and they don’t disappoint with the information on the Time To Ride web site. It’s worth taking a look even if you aren’t interested in getting into the fray of competition.
If you have a riding program that emphasizes those who are just starting out, time to ride could be a marketing bonus for you. Be sure to check it out!
